SYMPOSIUM 1994

SYMPOSIUM SUMMARY: Hampshire, England

Nymphaea 'ISG5A'

What a wonderful week and a half Anita, Peter and I had in England attending the 10th
Annual IWLS Symposium. We visited fantastic Public and Private Gardens and admirable
Water Gardeni'ng Centers. We shared ideas with friends old and new.
In the Society, we need to acknowledge the extraordinary amount of work Ed Schneider,
Secretary, Paula Wi11iamson, Treasurer, and Philip Swindells, Editor devote to the Society. They are the team that holds us together year round, year after year. Thanks from all of us.
Our group was treated to wonderful hospitality by all the hosts of the places we visited. Thank you's for the Pre-Symposium Tour are extended on behalf of all IWLS Members to the Tisbury’s of Tilsbury and Sons and to Dave Thomas of Lillicroft Nurseries for visits to their establishments. We were honored to be included in the special event at Capel Manor, the Dedication of the Frances Perry Library, by David and Roslyn Everett. The lunch
and ceremony were outstanding as was the subsequent visit to Anglo Aquarium Plant Co..
The perfect endi'ng to the day was the visit to the inspiring private garden of Dr. and Mrs. Newton.
