2000 Waterlily Competition Winners

2000 New Waterlily Competition Winners

Our Hall of Fame presentation started with the results for the Banksian Award trials for 2000 for the best plant displayed by a living hybridiser/introducer in various categories. The best medium sized tropical lily was voted as ‘Key Lime’ a well shaped yellow from Florida Aquatic Nurseries (#10 for those of you who photographed the trials). The best large tropical was the blue ‘Suwannee Mist’ from Don Bryne (#17). The award and Banksian Medal for best overall lily went to ‘Star of Zanzibar’ (#14) a purple-blue with attractive yellow centre, introduced by Rich Sacher of American Aquatic Gardens.
