SYMPOSIUM 2005

SYMPOSIUM SUMMARY: Bethlehem, PA, USA

B-Justin2

As a result of all the hard work by Tilley’s Nursery/Waterworks, the 2005 Symposium was
success. Starting with our visit to Longwood Gardens and ending with a trip to the Tannersville Bog, we learned a lot, had a great time, and definitely broadened our horizons. Attendees included longtime members and first timers; folks from nearby Pennsylvania as well as from New Zealand, the UK and Canada; plus people who came for only a day and those who attended for the full six.

Depending upon whom you ask there were different high points for the attendees. They included things as diverse as a private in-pond clinic on hybridizing Victorias, seeing pitcher plants growing in the wild, the round robin demonstrations, the planting media forum,
and the seminars. Of course everyone seems to agree that “the people” are still the top reason most folks come year after year.
