Powell Gardens

Powell Gardens is a living museum with a rapidly growing collection. With more than 21,000 plants on record by the end of 2020, the Gardens has amassed data that is important for long-term planning and as a reference tool. Through a grant in 2020, the Powell Gardens’ collection moved to a platform allowing public access. Explore our living collection, features, and garden tours online with Garden Explorer.

Where is it located?

The collection is located at 1609 NW US HWY 50, Kingsville, MO 64061.

What will I see?

The garden currently has 16 hardy waterlily cultivars, 10 tropical waterlily cultivars and 1 tropical subspecies variety.  Powell Gardens plans to continue adding to the collection to include more straight species and varieties for educational purposes, as well as continuing to build the tropical and hardy cultivar collections.
