Caroline Holmes is a British garden and landscape historian – academic but not dry, consultant, author and lecturer who specializes in exploring and evoking historical, artistic and symbolic references.

Recipient of ‘The Elizabeth Crisp Rea Award 2017’ and ‘The Gertrude B. Foster Award for Excellence in Herbal Literature 2011’ from the Herb Society of America.

She is a recognized expert on Claude Monet and Latour-Marliac, having published, in 2015, Water Lilies and Bory Latour-Marliac, the genius behind Monet’s Water Lilies; Monet at Giverny (2001) and Impressionist Gardens (2012).
