Biography:
Shih Lien YAO, affectionately known as Dr. Lotus, has spent over a decade mastering the cultivation of lotuses and waterlilies. His work has transformed gardens across Singapore and inspired enthusiasts worldwide. He helps home gardeners and professional landscapers create serene aquatic displays through design, installation, training, and care services. As speaker and trainer, he has presented at Gardens by the Bay, the National Library Board, and Nanyang Technological University, and consulted for landmark water gardens including Jurong Lake Gardens and Marina Bay Sands. He contributes to the Water Garden Journal, and is the author of two books Lotus in Bloom and Waterlily in Bloom which are available on Amazon.
